Our trail running races ranges from 14km to 156km, suitable for novice to experienced trail runners.

NRNG HEAT

Starting from this September, NRNG will launch a number of trail running races. NRNG HEAT, as its name implies, is a heat before the regular race season, allowing runners to get into race condition early.

 

The race route starts and ends at Shing Mun Butterfly Paradise, it includes MacLehose Trail, Wilson Trail and the very distinctive section of MAGIC TEAPOT RUN (to be held on 26th October 2024) 

NRNG HEAT will be the first outdoor promotional event for Japanese brands Jinger, Oleno and Ando, which are exclusively distributed by NRNG in Hong Kong. These three Japanese brands will officially be launched in September in Hong Kong!
 

In addition to the Jinger X NRNG collaboration limited edition running tee in their race pack, Ando will support runners with energy gel. Brooks Hong Kong will continue its support by sponsoring Brooks X Smellwell freshener. Red Bull Hong Kong will support runners with the Purple edition Kyoho grape flavor of Red Bull.  In addition to all these amazing gifts, there will be prizes sponsored by Jinger and Oleno.

 

 

SAI KUNG SPEED

Sai Kung, known as the backyard of Hong Kong, is where the SAI KUNG SPEED is held. The race is divided into two distances (15km and 36km), starting and ending in Pak Tam Chung. It passes through a number of charming mountain trails, including tree-lined, streamside and gravel paths. The two distances do not have much heavy climbing, and are extremely runnable. Some sections of the routes offer spectacular views of the seascape and landscapes of Hong Kong.

TOUGE FIFTY

TOUGE FIFTY is an ultramarathon race launched with its first race in 2022. Let’s not to confuse the word TOUGE with tough, TOUGE is a Japanese word “峠”, meaning "mountain pass". FIFTY is the distance of 50km in the 1st edition. The mark replacing the letter “o” in the word “Ultramarathon” resembles the top view of a trig pillar.

 

2024 TOUGE FIFTY has 2 distances, namely 55km and 18km, the race will take you running across a breath-taking journey through a chain of mountains from Sai Kung to Tai Mo Shan. Some parts of the course are off the beaten track. Although the race is tough and challenging, you will be rewarded with unbelievable beautiful scenery along the course.

MAGIC TEAPOT RUN

MAGIC TEAPOT RUN is inspired by fairy tales, the route has two distances: 14km & 26km. The route design includes Teapot section and Genie section. The 14km (Teapot) will be along the Magic Teapot section, the track resembles a Magic teapot filled with water. The 26km (Genie & Teapot) is Genie from Teapot route, which combines the Magic Teapot and the Genie section. Don’t miss such an interesting and challenging day!

FAT MAK TRAIL RACE

Fat Mak Trail Race (FMTR in short) is a trail running race in which the name is inspired by a big rock called "Fat Mak Rock" in the route. "Fat Mak Rock" sits in the middle section of Tai Shing Stream (KK05288090) with Chinese characters 肥佬麥 (meaning Fat Mak Rock) painted on it


The race requires runners to run within the trails inside Tai Mo Shan and Shing Mun Country Park with some moderate climbing. The race has two distances, 14km and 35km, the start and finish are both at Shing Mun Grass Dam.

4TUL

Race Date : 2nd March 2025

 

4 Trails Ultra Loop, aka 4TUL, was founded in 2020. The 189km loop starts and ends at Tai Mo Shan, 95% of the 4TUL route falls within the Hong Kong 4 major trails (namely MacLehose Trail, Wilson Trail, Hong Kong Trail, and Lantau Trail). The loop is connected by public transportation and to be done on foot with 146km.

 

The 5th edition of 4TUL, held on 2nd March 2025, will cover Wilson Trail & MacLehose Trail. The race starts at Yau Tong and finish at Shing Mun and Tai Mo Shan for 27km and 45km respectively.

SPACE TUNNEL RUN

Race Date : 30 th March 2025

 

Space Tunnel Run takes you to a chain of 4 famous mountains in Yuen Long area: Sze Pai Shek Shan (290m), Tseng Hang Shan (235m), Cheung Ngau Shan (220m) and Ho Hok Shan (149m) , finish at the instagrammable "Space Tunnel”. The route combines both road and trail running which makes the race more competitive.

 

Although the course does not have big climbs and difficult elevation profile, running up and down these 4 mountains in one go with sections of technical terrain requiring every ounce of concentration, and it is definitely challenging.

 

The 3rd edition of Space Tunnel Run has 2 distances: 14km & 26km, start from Tai Tong and Lam Sheung Road respectively.
